GREETINGS

Founded in 1834, Kyo-ya Shuzo has been carefully crafting shochu in small batches using large earthenware jars. This traditional method, with each jar holding approximately 800 liters, allows for natural fermentation, resulting in shochu with authentic flavors. With a commitment to sustainable and environmentally friendly brewing, our subsidiary, Agri Company, cultivates sweet potatoes, ai-gamo rice, and buckwheat organically without the use of pesticides. These ingredients are used in some of our products.
To ensure the highest quality and safety, Kyo-ya Shuzo has obtained kosher certification, which is widely recognized in the international market. We have also received certification from the Japan Organic and Natural Foods Association (JONA), Japan's first organic certification body. By focusing on soil cultivation, we are dedicated to creating shochu in harmony with nature.

KAMASIZUKU

This authentic shochu is made partly from Miyazaki beni imo (sweet potatoes) grown with organic fertilizers without the use of pesticides. It has a fruity taste and aroma, and is a noble and refreshing shochu. Please enjoy the rich taste of the earth and the sun, brewed in a large jar. We recommend it with Japanese and French fish dishes. Please pour it into a glass with a ladle and enjoy. It is also perfect for parties and other festive occasions.

KANAKYOU KANRO

The brand won the Chicago BTI Silver Award in 2008, the Monde Selection Gold Award in 2009, and was an iTQi exhibit brand in 2009. This authentic sweet potato shochu is brewed in a large jar. It is characterized by a deep flavor from the black malted rice used to make it and a rich, gentle taste from the low-temperature distillation process. It has a refreshing taste, but the richness that lingers slightly after drinking goes well with meals.

MUGIBUE

Domestic barley is used as the main ingredient, and the malted rice is also made in Japan. It is brewed with white malted rice and low-temperature distillation (reduced-pressure distillation), and blended with sake that has been aged in oak barrels after distillation. Please enjoy the flavorful aroma.

PURPLE&PEAR 40

“PURPLE & PEAR” is made from Murasaki sweetpotato and brewed with black malted rice to bring out its full-bodied flavor. It is distilled at low temperature. The aroma is mellow and fragrant, with a fruity aroma reminiscent of the scent of pears. Please enjoy the exquisite harmony of the purple sweet potato flavor and the mellow pear-like aroma, as well as the lingering taste.
